Tom and Katie’s official divorce papers reveal the actor is only required to pay $400,000 a year in child support to Suri for 12 years — just a fraction of his $250 million fortune!

Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise on June 29, and reached a settlement within weeks. But the official court documents have just been released — and they reveal shocking information about the A-list couple’s marriage, including his child support arrangements for daughter Suri Cruise, 6.

The official divorce papers obtained by the National Enquirer confirms the Mission Impossible actor, who has been a leading man in Hollywood for more than three decades, is only required to pay his daughter $400,000 a year in child support.

Tom must also pay for Suri’s “medical, dental, insurance, reimbursed medical and dental, education, college, extracurricular, and camp expenses.”

The payments are only until Suri turns 18, so for the next 12 years, that amounts to just $4.8 million. If he fails to pay (which is highly unlikely), the judge threatens to throw Tom in jail “for a term not to exceed six months.”

But that’s not including the sizable trust fund the 6-year-old is reportedly getting from her dad, which she can’t tough until she turns 18.

The papers also reveal that Katie believed the marriage was over six months prior to the actual divorce filing — that’s including the Father’s Day trip Katie and Suri took to Iceland in June to visit Tom.

ONLY $400,000?!? That should be enough to support Suri for the rest of her childhood! AND he has to pay all her other expenses? What about Katie? She’s plenty rich. Couldn’t that money go to a good cause instead of fur coats?

Besides, what if Tom doesn’t make a movie for the next ten years. He still has to pay for everything for Suri.

Excuse me christina, but when you add all the other stuff he pays it adds up to over 2 Mill. The bills for her clothes go to him along with everything else she does and needs, medical, insurance, school, camps, books, extracurricular, etc. He has a lot to pay for. Just how much food do you think suri can eat? The child will never want for anything. Why do you wnat to bleed Tom dry. Katie’s working and can support herself. She left him so let her pay for some of the responsibilities.

Tom Cruise ONLY pays $400,000 in child maintenance??? Plus the $25,000 private school plus all other expenses. The total could, and probably will exceed half a million a year! So what if he’s worth millions, Katie Holmes is worth at least $25m and as she walked out on him, i do not think he should pay a fraction of what he does. Just my opinion.

i agree… but apparently he is the only one that is suppose to pay for everything regarding suri… lol guess katie is off the hook for anything financial regarding suri ..
