Kristen Stewart, 22, is trying her best to prove her love for Robert Pattinson, 26, who was heartbroken after she cheated, according to Life & Style. She’s ready to be his bride!
“When they first dated, Kristen was standoffish — get didn’t want to get engaged or married,” a friend told Life & Style. “Rob did. He felt like she was everything. She was his dream woman, but she wasn’t so sure.”
But after Kristen was caught cheating with married director Rupert Sanders and publicly admitted her love for Rob, she’s ready to commit.
“Now an engagement and wedding would seal the deal between them and make Kristen very happy.”
Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder
After Kristen was seen looking stunning and smiling in Paris for fashion week, she rushed home to L.A. to be by Rob’s side. “I wouldn’t be surprised if she looked at wedding dresses while in Paris,” the friend says.
When Kristen arrived home, they had a romantic date night at Soho house together, as we told you exclusively.
“Kristen doesn’t want to stay away from Robert for long. The cheating scandal made her realize that without Rob she just doesn’t have much. Without him she was lost,” the pal spilled.
“She would absolutely want to get engaged soon, maybe even elope this winter.”
Love At First Sight
Rob has been in love with Kristen from the beginning of Twilight, and on June 23, at a friend’s wedding in New Jersey, he didn’t hide his affection for Kristen.
“They were just overall happy and affectionate,” says a fellow guest. “He dotted on her like she was royalty. It was obvious he was totally in love — Rob had an eye on her the entire time.”
But just over a month later, on July 24, the photos surfaced of Kristen betraying Rob. Rob’s friends are desperately trying to talk him out of getting back with Kristen. “Rob’s old friends are telling him not to go through with it. They feel Kristen’s calculated, immature and selfish. Once a cheater, always a cheater. They think she has ulterior motives, like she just wants to get back together with Rob to save her career,” says a pal.
Marriage Isn’t A Cure
Likewise, relationship expert Jean Cirillo says that marriage should not be treated as a band-aid for their problems.
“Mariage isn’t going to cure cheating or infidelity or anything else. An ultimatum won’t last forever. Instead of getting married, they should go to premarital counseling,” Cirillo tells Life & Style.
