The former ‘American Idol’ contestant said she had a ‘lapse in judgement’ when she made out with the married country star. Do you think her apology is sincere?
American Idol season 11 contestant Brittany Kerr, who was caught kissing married country singer and father of two Jason Aldean at a crowded bar on Sept. 26, has chalked up the affair to a “lapse in judgement.”
“The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part,” the American Idol castoff said in a statement, according to TMZ.
“I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family,” she added.
Jason also apologized on Oct. 1, blaming his actions on a drunken mistake. ”The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar,” he said.
The country star is married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery. They were married in 2001, and have 2 kids together.
Sources told TMZ that Brittany had no idea Jason was married, and if she did, she would have stopped the affair before it began.

Honestly he seemed like a single player lol I had no idea he was married till now. But she doesn’t have an excuse if he had a wedding band on.
