Season five of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ will come to close on Oct. 1, but don’t fret — a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that season six is definitely happening and Sonja has signed on! Read on for all the details.
Sonja Morgan has become a star in her own right and that’s why Bravo has decided to bring back the sexy housewife for season six of The Real Housewives of New York City!
The cast of RHONY went through a cast shakeup before season five went into production, bringing on board Carole Radziwill, Aviva Drescher and Heather Thomson.
While ratings have been so-so this season, and another cast shakeup MAY happen again — two things are for certain: season six is happening and Sonja will be on board!
Bravo officially gave a statement to HollywoodLife.com saying, “Nothing has been officially decided yet about a 6th season of Real Housewives of New York City. We are looking forward to the season 5 finale airing tonight at 9p.”

I absolutely loved this season of RHONY. People should lay off Ramona and Sonja…. they party hard….so what! Let them have fun and enjoy life!
I absolutely cannot stand Aviva. I liked her at the beginning of the season until her true colors began to show. Unbelievable how self centered and self-righteous she is. She is always trying to pretend that she is perfect and criticizing the other women at the drop of a hat. Her meltdown at St. Barth’s b/c they were not waiting for her with a huge welcome party?! That was downright pathetic. She is all about “me, me, me”.
Heather and Carole have been a refreshing addition so good job on picking them.
