The fighting between the women of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ has become so intense, it’s sending a terrible message to their children! Read on to find out why I think they should try to find some peace.
With season four of The Real Housewives of New Jersey behind us and the reunion episodes in full swing, it’s clear that the fighting that has pitted Teresa Giudice against her fellow housewives isn’t getting any better. In fact, it seems to be growing more and more bitter, which is sad for the children of these women.
Teresa and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga had only seen each other once since the contentious reunion of season three was filmed! The anger and animosity between these two women, whose children are blood-related family, is so sad to watch. The way this family has become so torn apart is sending a horrific message to the kids, who are learning that this must be the way to handle conflict.
Not only are these women tearing apart their families with their incessant fighting, they’re teaching their kids, by example, that conflict can only be handled by shouting and table throwing and holding grudges. It’s a miserable lesson to impart on the children — setting them up for damaged relationships down the line, with an inability to handle conflict.
It’s time that these women find a way to resolve the animosity between themselves. While it may not make for interesting television, it will provide for a more positive way for their children to model conflict resolution on.
Do you think Teresa, Melissa, and the rest of the Housewives are being bad role models for their children, HollywoodLifers?
