Watch the first footage of Captain Hook in action!

No wonder that crocodile is so obsessed with Captain Hook — he’s kind of a babe! Once Upon A Time fans got their first look at Colin O’Donoghue as the pointy-handed pirate after the show’s Sept. 30 season premiere, and they immediately responded with the same idea: the dude is pretty.

In terms of historical pirate beauty, Colin bears a much stronger resemblance to Johnny Depp than Dustin Hoffman, and I don’t think fans will complain. After all, aside from Robert Carlyle‘s unfortunate-looking Rumpelstiltskin, aren’t most of the Once villains kind of hot? (I’m specifically pointing a finger at Lana Parrilla as Regina and Kristin Bauer Van Straten as Maleficent.)
