Father Humiliates 3-Year-Old On Internet — Sparks Public Outrage

3 Year Old Poops in Shower

A father has incited public outrage from the Internet after posting a photo that humiliated his three-year-old on the website Reddit! Read on for all the details.

A father has caused quite a fury, after posting a picture of his 3-year-old daughter on the Internet.  After pooping in the shower, the father made the little girl pose with a sign hanging around her neck confessing to the stinky mess. Whether he was joking or not, the dad is now under fire!

The sign read, “I pooped in the shower and daddy had to clean it up. I hereby sign this as permission to use in my yearbook senior year.” The father’s decision to expose this picture to millions on the Internet has sparked viral controversy!

The unnamed father posted the picture on Reddit under the username Jagknowny. Apparently he thought it was funny, but public reaction has been anything but positive. One furious blogger responded with this comment, “You don’t make a child tough and resilient by having her parents, who are meant to be the two people in the world she can trust absolutely, set out to embarrass her in the most public of settings. That makes a child insecure, because it teaches her she can’t trust the people closest to her.”

Another annoyed blogger wrote, “Someone needs to hang a sign on him for being a terrible father that exploits his poor toddler daughter.”

In response the father joked that his daughter could sue him for ‘defecation’.

Was this cruel of the dad? What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers?

My opinion: Many of you commenters need to lighten up. The girl’s face wasn’t shown, so I don’t know how you can say she was “humiliated” in front of all those people. She probably doesn’t even know it’s online.

Plus, it’s really funny. I’d bet $$$ that this girl will be laughing with her dad when she’s a senior in high school (and he probably won’t hold her to it.)

Would you have preferred he hit his daughter as punishment?

i think its really funny how people react. it was a joke and i personally think a funny one. i thnk even his daughter will one day laugh about it.

i mean “Seriously,no one in their right mind(especially girls/women) would be a willing participant in taking a picture proclaiming that they just defecated in the shower”. come one, we are talking about a toddler, they poop constantly in their diapers. i get that it would not be alright if this was a pic with a adult, but a toddler? even if you could see her face it would not make a difference. its a toddler, for gods sake

The crux of the situation is the fact that this man exploited his daughter’s privacy, and without her consent, for a joke.Everybody, regardless of age, deserves an amount of dignity and respect… this toddler is no different. The fact that he took advantage of the situation by hanging a sign around her neck (when she can’t even read and comprehend what’s going on) and paraded her by posting this picture to the world via the internet shows no consideration of how she feels or will feel.People who try to make light of the situation saying that it’s all in good fun may feel a whole lot differently if they were the toddler and their picture was uploaded for all the world to see.Seriously,no one in their right mind(especially girls/women) would be a willing participant in taking a picture proclaiming that they just defecated in the shower.Hell, there are girls/women who wouldn’t be caught dead without their make up on in public for crying out loud! And even if she may be cool with it(when she’s older),why not wait until she’s old enough to understand and ask her if she’s ok with posting it on the internet?Just because she’s her dad doesn’t mean he could do anything he wants to with her, regardless of his intentions.Wonder how people would feel if it was the other way around? If it was the father who’s in his 70’s or 80’s (with demensia/alzheimer’s) and he defecated in his bed and after cleaning him up,his daughter put a sign around his neck that said this old geezer just pooped all over himself and is proud of it.That wouldn’t be funny at all.Just down right sad and disgusting…same thing with this picture.

As a redditor I would like to say that you personally should NEVER go to reddit or do any story that originates from there. If this offends you I can promise you that you will be saying hail marys for years over the things you will see when you go to do actual research for your article. This was all a joke and the childs face was not plastered all over. Everyone dragging it outside of reddit are the ones who made it bigger than it was. Now this girl will have a great story to tell about how her dad was joking around and national news and gossip blogs took his photo and made it into a national crisis.

The original picture was blurred out too. You have no idea who it could be. And my parent bring up random, embarrasing stories and pictures of me all the time as well!

People really need to learn how to take jokes. He didn’t humiliate her it was all for fun. There are a lot worse things in the world then this so people need to find a funny bone in their body and lighten up. Come on now.

People don’t understand the context, it was a joke and doesn’t need to be taken as anything else. News sources need to do their research before they write anything.

Seriously? This was a post on Reddit. The little girl is smiling in the original picture. Sites like this obviously aren’t doing their research before posting such idiotic articles. The dad was going to try and put this in his daughter’s high school yearbook as a joke. Please stop taking this out of context, people.

Yea plus I don’t think the writer of the article knows what they’re talking about I haven’t heard anything about people being upset about it and I saw this post like a week ago…
