This is definitely the cutest and funniest film since Bring It On — we loved seeing the ultra-competitive world of singing play out on the big screen. Check out five reasons to see this hilarious movie!

Pitch Perfect is one of the most unexpected movies of fall. Starring Twilight actress Anna Kendrick, the film follows a group of young women who try to become the best a cappella team in their collegiate circuit — and the hilarious hijinks that come along the way. Check out our five reasons to catch this film in theaters and tell us if YOU will see Pitch Perfect this weekend, HollywoodLifers!

1) Anna is such a cute comedic lead!

Anna, 27, shines as Beca, who becomes the new (and reluctant) recruit of all-girl a cappella group The Bellas. Although she is hesitant to join the choir, she soon learns how she can bring her DJ skills into the group by remixing all of their hits. Anna has the perfect amount of sass for the role, leading the audience as she discovers this wide world of unaccompanied singing!

2) It’s the funniest female-based comedy since Bridesmaids!

We love seeing funny women recognized for their art, and Pitch Perfect is a showcase for these hilarious ladies. Penned by 30 Rock scribe Kay Cannon, the movie proves that funny, raunchy and weird comedy from women is here to stay!

3) The a cappella music sounds great!

It’s obviously critical to have amazing music in a movie like this, and singing fans will definitely be pleased. Interesting covers and arrangements are everywhere, from classics like Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” to more modern fare like Rihanna‘s “S&M”. You will want to sing with all of YOUR friends after you see the movie!

4) There is a great romance!

Even though it hits some predictable beats, Beca has a cute and flirtatious relationship with her a cappella rival Jesse (Skylar Astin). Best scene? Their adorable bonding over the classic film The Breakfast Club!

5) The supporting cast is hilarious!

Anna is a perfect lead, but the true stars are her great group of friends and rivals! From breakout star Rebel Wilson to hilarious Workaholics lead Adam DeVine, every character adds their own special comedic touch. We could see SEVERAL spin-offs coming from this movie!
