Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly desperate to reconcile, but comedian Stephen Colbert doesn’t buy it!

Rob, 26, and Kristen, 22, were under fire from the 48-year-old funnyman when he wrote a pointed September 27 tweet.

“Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are back together,” he wrote. “Wow, and so close to the release date of their new movie. That’s lucky!”

Stephen totally thinks their renewed love is fake — but we think they’re meant to be together!

In the midst of their reconciliation, Kristen is still focusing on promoting her new movie, On The Road.

“To play a part like Marylou, she’s very vivid and colorful but also on the periphery. You don’t know her heart and head and the how and why she does what she does. By the time that it came to film, I didn’t want to play her simply as this character that is just a wild and sexy girl. With the research we were able to do, applying the whys and getting to know the people behind the characters makes you think about the book differently.”

They never acted like a PR couple because they wouldn’t fake it. They both always said they’re not fake. They have always looked like two close friends maybe roommates that the rest of the world wanted tobe a couple. This scandal is their way out of the lie.

No one really knows if they are back together anyway. They may be getting together because they have to work together and want to try and remain friends. I personally think Rob would be really dumb to trush Kristen again. But it is his choice if he want to get hurt again.

The media is going to keep running with this story right through BD2 promotion. Are they really back together or are they faking? Were they ever really together? Fans will know more about the truth between now and then, but the media will not let go of this angle no matter what. In the end, an actual reconciliation does not sell magazines for very long.
