‘Once Upon A Time’ returns for its second season Sept. 30 — and Lana says we’ll see a whole new side of Regina!

Is Regina really turning over a new leaf on Once Upon A Time? “Regina’s not as evil in the second season just yet,” the queen herself, Lana Parrilla, revealed Sept. 27 on Live! With Kelly & Michael.  ”She’s on a road to redemption. … She has a lot of explaining to do now that everyone has woken up. … Everyone is out to get her.”

Of course, the promo video for the show’s second season — which you can watch below — reveals that Regina’s nice streak won’t last long. Once she gets full use of her powers, she’ll quickly revert back to her wicked ways.

“It’s fun playing a bad girl,” Lana admitted. “You can really go over the top. But it’s fun playing her vulnerable side, too. It makes her more human.”
