January Jones 2012 Emmy Makeup

The ‘Mad Men’ star edged up her look for the 2012 Emmy Awards. Do YOU love her smoky makeup look? Snag her sultry style with easy how-tos directly from her makeup artist!

Could January Jones, 34, look any more perfect? Her edgy high fashion look was carefully crafted from head to toe: and her makeup was the perfect finishing touch.  Celebrity Makeup Artist for Chanel, Rachel Goodwin, explained the glamorous Emmys look she created for January, saying, “I created a powerful indigo smoky eye paired with soft berry stained lips. I wanted her whole look to have a dramatic high fashion feel to it, not passive but of real intentional glamour.”

January’s skin was prepped with Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum. Then Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in 10 Beige was used as her foundation.

Here’s the beauty breakdown, straight from Rachel:

“I dabbed CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Delicate onto her cheekbones with my index finger for soft muted pink flush. I blended CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Apparition on top blending it softly into the lash line, crease and extending out toward the hairline in a dramatic sweep. I rimmed her eyes with CHANEL Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense on the top and bottom then blended it deep into the lashes with a soft tapered brush.

I applied CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Determinee to her lips then buffed it off with a Q-Tip, leaving just a trace of soft berry behind.”

The finishing touch was a coating of Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.
