The always controversial comedian presented an award at the 64th Annual Emmys on Sept. 23 and he blasted the show and the Golden Globes — read on to find out what he said!
Ricky Gervais has no problem slamming the Emmys, despite the fact that they hired him to present at their show. The British funny-man took the stage at the 2012 Emmy Awards and he made some crazy remarks, as usual.
“So much better than the Golden Globes isn’t it?” he said. “It is isn’t it? You all are so nice and attentive, wishing you were at the Globes and be drinking probably. I’ve just had a beer and it’s the only reason I agreed to hand out an Emmy … is so I could have a beer. They’ve flown me over for the big one Outstanding Director of a Variety Special, so good job this is live, because if it wasn’t, it wouldn’t make the edit!”
