Jimmy cracked some pretty funny jokes at Mitt’s expense during his monologue at the 2012 Emmy Awards! Did you think they were funny or did he go to far?

In his opening monologue, 2012 Emmy Awards host Jimmy Kimmel cracked quite a few hilarious jokes, but none were more topical or pointed than his jabs at Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney!

“It’s not the kind of show I typically watch, but it really gives you a sense of what it must have been like to grow up in Mitt Romney’s house,” Jimmy jokes about Best Drama Series nominee Downton Abbey.

He then asked the auditorium, “Are any of you voting for Mitt Romney?” His question garnered only a small smattering of applause, leading Jimmy to joke “Alright, there’s 40 Republicans and the rest godless, liberal homosexuals.”

Did you find Jimmy’s jokes about Mitt funny or over the line, HollywoodLifers?

Jimmy, your audience is very apparently young and late-night liberals if
they were tickled by your comments about Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney meant to say that 47 percent pay no federal taxes, therefore
get free use of highways, seaports, airports, etc. that taxpayers provide.
He should have made clear that many of those who pay no federal
taxes are fully-employed citizens. You stabbed him too deep.

I just listened, a roar came up over the crowd; you are dreaming, delusional, or both.

“His question garnered only a small smattering of applause”? What dishonest reporting. There was surprisingly big cheers for Rommey. #epicbackfire for Kimmel.

Billy, are you serious? When Jimmy Kimmel asked the crowd if anyone was voting for Mitt Romney in your article you said there was a small smattering of applause??? What were you watching? That is not what happened. There was a roar of applause with NO booing for the mention of Mitt Romneys name. I am an independent voter who has decided to vote for Mitt Romney. And I am absolutely shocked to hear people in the crowd cheer loudly at such a liberal event for a GOP candidate.
