Robin underwent her bone marrow transplant successfully — hooray! Read on for all the details.

Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts received her bone marrow transplant on Sept. 20 as she was surrounded by close family and friends — including Diane Sawyer!

The transplant was injected through a transfusion. The doctor injected millions of sister Sally-Ann’s stem cells, slowly and steadily into Robin’s system. In just five minutes, the process was completed.

“I will now wait and anxiously watch and see what happens for the next 7-10 days. My counts will continue to go up and we’ll be on to phase three which will be ‘get out of here and go home,'” Robin told the cameras.

We wish Robin all the best in her recovery!
