Maksim is leaving the ballroom. Read on for all the details!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has announced that he  will be leaving Dancing With the Stars after 15 seasons — we’ll miss him!

“What else do I have to do there after 15 seasons?” Maksim tells the New York Post. “It makes total sense. The audience can’t expect for me to want to stick around, and the producers can’t expect for me to want to stick around.”

Maks plans to pursue an acting career and possibly a reality show with his brother Val after the current DWTS season, All-Stars, comes to a close.

“I loved doing it. But to be honest with you, at 32, I am at what-about-me time.”

“I am not thinking that with me leaving, the show will go off the air or anything,” he adds. “Like my dad said, ‘There are no irreplacable people.’ I wish them the next 50 years of success. But I have to do something else. I need to move on for me.“

We certainly will miss him! How do YOU feel, HollywoodLifers?

I will be sad and disappointed . It was obvious when a muzzle was put on him. Why can the judges say such negative, mean comments when what Max said was what most viewers were thinking? NOW the judges are being more careful with their words but it is too late. The only consistent, fair judge was Bruno. This was a good show but since Derek and Max are leaving I will be watching The Voice. Good luck to both of them!!!

Max may be outspoken but on several occasions it seems like the judges had their favorites & to be one of their favorites you had to be a brown-noser. I will miss Max a lot but I wish him all the luck in the world on his new adventures.

DWTS just will not be the same!!! I will definitely not watch as often. Maks was the reason I kept tuning in each and every week.

Not unless it was TRUE… Then she has every right to say what she did. Who knows, he may have done it to others in the past or someone else in the future.

He was always wining about always making it soo close the end but never winning. boo hoo. Its not about you, your the “pro” not the “cleb”.
