Gabby, 16, is making her TV acting debut on her favorite show. Lucky girl!

Not every fan of The Vampire Diaries gets to appear on their favorite show — but then again, not every fan is Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas! The 16-year-old gymnast, who received a congratulatory message from the cast this summer, will appear on the seventh episode of season four, HollywoodLife.com has confirmed; and judging by the above photo, it looks like Ian Somerhalder is already sinking his teeth into her (medal).

“Eating @gabrielledoug ‘s Gold medal!yummmmmmm…” Ian tweeted Sept. 19.

Nina Dobrev also tweeted her excitement about Gabby’s big debut: “Thanks for coming @gabrielledoug , I hope you had fun – you were great ! Smile is even brighter in person… :)”
