What do these old sayings have in common?

All are demonstrably UNTRUE.

I cheated once 19 years ago because my S.O. and I were having difficulties and I was feeling smothered. We got therapy and guess what? Neither of us ever felt the need to cheat again. And I know several other couples with similar stories.

So STFU with the old bromides. We don’t know them, we don’t know what led to the cheating, and ultimately it’s none of our damn business!

Anyone get the feeling this was all just a big publicity stunt?? I mean a celebrity as famous as Kirsten Stewart would know perfectly well that the paparazzi follow her 24/7 and she just happens to get “caught” with another man? Only to then get back together with the guy and the “split” couple become the “it” couple again. I know I sound like one of those crazy conspiracy theorists, but I’m just saying this wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity couple did something like this. This kind of publicity sells more breaking dawn tickets.

It’s stupidness. I don’t know why do you think they’re grown ups – they act like two kids. Sometimes age doesn’t matter anything – a person can be forty and have a child’s mind.

Rob, none of us knows you, and none of us knows what you feel….. if you really love her, then be with her. But remember cheater is always a cheater…. You can not change a past, but you still write your future. There is a lot of girls that would kill them self over you, and I’m sure as you 26 its not too late for you to fall in love. I’m not blaming either of you for your broken relationship but there must been some issues if one of you went on the side. maybe its a time for you to stop thinking about tomorrow and start thinking how is gonna be like in 5, 10, 15 years time, if you are ready for a family and if shes the one you want to have a family with..

Movies try to create characters that the viewers will identify with, in an attempt to create “fans” and guarantee a successful movie/franchise. Movies like Twilight are, definitely, successful at that. The other side to that formula is that you’re going to wind up with a lot of fans who are in love with the characters and who sometimes carry that love over to the actors, themselves.

In the case of Twilight, the actors are partly responsible for intensifying that effect by having carried over their movie relationships into their own real lives. I do suspect that some of their real life behaviors have deliberately been done with the intent of push those emotional buttons on their fans. And, Why not? More adulation for the ego (and, the bank account) from thousands of strangers who treat you like a god, come down to earth, in public. Maybe, it’s little fun dealing with the papparazzi, but the fans’ love you is genuine. That must be hard to not enjoy soaking up, most of the time.

I think that it stinks when the franchises do this to their viewers – especially, the younger more vulnerable demographics – and, then, brand them as a bunch of losers, once they’re done with them because they’re ready to move on to newer projects. It’s all well and fine, at that point, to ridicule the fans for not being well-adjusted to the real world, but few people involved complain about it whenever a new phenomenon is first generating an enthusiastic sensation.

True love forgives- I think they’ve shown remarkable maturity not to throw it away. I’m baffled by the backlash toward KS- what about the philandering sleazebag director that preyed on his young actress and put her in such a confused and awkward spot in the beginning? If it were an affair in which she was a long-term participant, it wouldn’t have been so public. I’m sure she’s learned a great deal from this- Rupert’s probably learned nothing. Poor Liberty, to have him as her spouse. My sincerest wish is that not only does Rob forgive Kristen, but that Kristen forgives herself!

Why can’t you people just be happy for them if they are back together I’m sure Rob wishes he had done things differently he s not perfect no one is ,complacency ,taking Kristen for granted ,too much time away from her leaving the commitment to her too long who knows None of us will never know the truth about Sanders (sleaze bag) who Rob trusted him to look after Kristen while he was promoting Cosmo .Moral here never trust anyone with your girl/boy friend even if they are old enough to be their father with children.What ever way it went he loved her they were together longer than some celebrity marriages last ,the press was right he was devasted you only had to look at him to see that so to call this a PR stunt !!! I went thru so many stages. Shock and disbelief. Agreeing with Will Ferrel. Wanting Kristen to hurt and feeling pain for Rob’s blindsided heartbreak. Then wishing Rob fun and excitement in his future dating world. Then I began to feel sorry for Kristen, maybe after the OTR premiere. And now I’ve come full circle and I’m ready to support whatever decision Rob makes. Whether their meetings result in being civil with each other or getting back together.
