The troubled actress insists she doesn’t professional treatment, or a conservatorship.
Despite her erratic behavior and ongoing legal troubles, Amanda Bynes denies having an emotional breakdown. In fact, Amanda has also reportedly been telling friends she doesn’t need a conservatorship because she’s perfectly capable of making her own life choices.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old actress claims she has no substance abuse problems and describes the pending criminal hit-and-run charges and the DUI cases as “bogus.”
In case you missed the latest ordeal, Amanda went shopping Sept. 17 at Kin — a trendy boutique in West Hollywood — and locked herself in a dressing room for nearly two hours.
“I was so worried about her,” a store employee told the site. “I didn’t know what she was doing in [the dressing room]. I didn’t know if she was overdosing, or doing drugs or what.”
Just last week, the former Nickelodeon star was photographed smoking what appeared to be a marijuana-like substance from a pipe in her uncle Ronald Bynes‘ car.
“She needs to stop drinking and driving,” Ronald told Celebuzz. “She needs help.”
Despite rumors that Amanda was planning to enter a 30-day rehab in Southern California, the actress tells TMZ there’s no reason for her to check into a treatment facility.
