The gangsters, the meth cookers, the society peeps, the warlords, the CIA agents, or the womanizing ad execs? Which dramatic crew gets your vote?
In just 10 days, television’s best and brightest will do battle at the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards — and HollywoodLife.com wants to make sure you’re prepared. Today we’re breaking down the nominees for Outstanding Drama Series, a category that pits two of our absolute favorite shows against each other in a battle of Sophie’s Choice proportions.
Here are the nominees:
Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
Breaking Bad (AMC)
Downton Abbey (PBS)
Game of Thrones (HBO)
Homeland (Showtime)
Mad Men (AMC)
As much as we’d love to give our vote to Downton Abbey, there’s one show that owns our collective heart even more: Game of Thrones! We loved every minute of the show’s epic second season, and we’re already dying to see what Daenerys and her fiery little babies have in store for us next season. Of course, in the interest of being realistic, we should probably concede that we predict either Homeland or Breaking Bad will win the gold.
Which drama series gets your vote?
