The teenager who released a ten-minute YouTube video revealing the special make-up tricks she uses to hide her pimples, can now add New York Fashion Week Model to her resume! Here’s the scoop!
Cassandra Bankson, 19, won over the hearts of acne-ridden teens everywhere when she bravely went bare-faced, showing her cystic acne to the world with her YouTube acne makeup tutorial video detailing how she covers it up with makeup. Thanks to her video, which has attracted almost 40 million hits worldwide, she has been signed up by a number of modelling agencies across the U.S. posing for brands including Bebe and Range Rover.
Cassandra, who was diagnosed with cystic acne at 14, says her skin condition is about 70 percent improved since she first hit the web. The 5ft 11in brunette’s confidence has returned and she is set to hit the catwalk for the Boy Meets Girl spring/ summer collection September 12. She told the New York Post: ‘It feels like a dream to be here during Fashion Week… I am a different person from who I used to be because I’ve got so much more confidence now.’
