After months of speculation that Randy Jackson, the last remaining original American Idol judge, may not be coming back Deadline has confirmed that Fox has made a deal to have him return to the judging table.

Randy Jackson is staying on American Idol. Sources close to the situation tell Deadline.com that the network has convinced the original judge to stay on.

Simon Cowell took to twitter to say: “Just heard Randy is back on Idol. Right decision.”

Randy is Mariah Carey’s co-manager, and he played an important part in getting her to be one of the judges for the upcoming season.

Now, with both of their deals done, Fox is expected to unveil the new four-person judging panel this week as it finalizes the contracts for newcomers Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj.
