Graphic prints and bright, bold colors took over the runway at the Marimekko Spring 2013 show. Get your first look at the collection here!
Color blocking, rainbow swirls, and geometric patterns were major trends gracing the runway of the Spring 2013 Marimekko show in New York. The collection’s bold colors were cohesive and perfect for spring.
Model Carmen Dell’Orefice, 81, walked two looks during the show, hamming it up and receiving a standing ovatio. It was overwhelmingly clear that she looked just as phenomenal in the Marimekko designs as the twenty-somethings with rainbow-dyed hair.
We love that anyone from Hailee Steinfeld to Meryl Streep would look fabulous and ready for spring in these designs, but Michelle Williams and Nicole Richie would be an excellent matches for this new collection. Their love for funkier, bright colored pieces and more classic vintage silhouettes would be perfectly blended with any piece from this set. Since Lily Collins has been embracing graphic patterns lately, we’d love to see her try out one of the bright color-blocked numbers as well!
