Leighton graced the October cover of British ‘Cosmopolitan’ emulating her inner rocker chick! Not exactly a get-up her ‘Gossip Girl’ character Blair would be spotted wearing — but she still looks great!
Leighton Meester’s reign as Queen B may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing the last of this brunette beauty any time soon!
The 26-year-old Gossip Girl star looked totally amazing on the cover of UK Cosmopolitan donning black high-waisted shorts, a crop top and a jeweled jacket. While this is far from Blair’s prim and proper style -– she definitely looks amazing!
Leighton even opened up to the mag about how her fashion sense is different from Blair’s!
“I’ve never seen Blair with the same bag, coat or shoes twice. I don’t know anyone who had that. I had two pairs of jeans when I was a teenager that I rotated. I wouldn’t trust myself with a Prada bag! I didn’t even want to change for gym so I’d wear sweatpants over my jeans, then sweat around the track for an hour,” she tells the mag.
We’ll definitely be sad to see Blair’s trendsetting style be a thing of the past, but Leighton says she’s looking forward to landing new roles!
“It’s good that we’re going out on a high note, but I’m ready to move on. It’ll probably be a challenge, for a time, to fight against that character – I won’t play an overprivileged girl any time soon! But I’ll never forget Gossip Girl,” she says.
