Kristen recently admitted she thinks it is a ‘good time to see this story visually’ on-screen. See why she says the sex scenes are such a big part of ‘On The Road!’
Kristen Stewart admits her new film is racy and thinks that audiences may not have been able to handle it in the first years after the book was published. But now, the role that “opened her up” is coming to the big screen!
Even after filmmaking rights were acquired, it took decades for the film to actually be made. Kristen thinks that time was necessary for the audience to really appreciate the film.
“I think it’s a good time to see this story visually because we are not shocked by some of the things that we were so shocked by before and it would have veiled it,” Kristen told Movieline.
“It would have been so shocking seeing people doing drugs and having sex that you wouldn’t have seen the spirit of [On the Road]. You wouldn’t have seen the message behind it. Maybe it would have been good because it would have forced people to look, but maybe they weren’t able to do it then.”
In the film, Kristen goes topless and has a threesome! The film is not yet rated.
