The ‘Fashion Star’ host finally debuted her post-baby body on ‘Katie,’ and said she has lost an astonishing 40 pounds since giving birth to daughter Maxwell four months ago!
Jessica Simpson unveiled her impressive new figure on the series premiere of Katie Couric’s talk show Katie, and opened up about her struggle to lose the dreaded baby weight after welcoming daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1.
The singer and fashion designer revealed she has lost more than 40 pounds, and although she wouldn’t give specific the numbers on the scale, she said coming on national TV was one of her biggest accomplishments.
“I’ve just had a lot of pressure on me and today was actually one of my goals,” she told Katie.
Jessica is just 10 pounds away from her goal weight, but said it was much harder than she anticipated.
“During pregnancy, I didn’t really think about it,’ she said. “I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water and whenever my water broke my whole entire stomach would go down but that did not happen.”
“All the weight did not come out with the baby,” she added.
But even though it was a struggle, the new mom said it was all in the best interest to be happy and healthy for her family.
“There is a lot of pressure to lose weight. I want to be healthy for my daughter,” she said.
And all of the struggle has been worth it, Jessica said, because she loves being a new mom and cannot imagine life without little Maxwell.
“Motherhood is a dream, it really is absolutely amazing,” she said. “My life is very different now.”
We think she looks incredible! Great job, Jessica! What do YOU think HollyMoms?
