From delicate lace to sexy detailing, the runway was full of red carpet glamour — and we can’t wait to see these stars show off the latest collection!
When it comes to getting all dressed up for a special occasion, Tadashi Shoji has mastered the art of crafting frocks that are perfect for both a cocktail party and a major awards show red carpet — and his silhouettes are favored by so many stars, including Octavia Spencer, who worked the award show circuit in one custom Tadashi creation after another — and she would certainly love his latest collection!
The designer unveiled his Spring 2013 line on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC on Sept. 6, where we saw gorgeous hues of blues, stripes and ikat prints and more lace than you could even imagine. From more conservative necklines to silhouettes that hugged the frames of the models, there is definitely something for everyone regardless of occasion or personal sense of style.
While some shorter frocks were flirty and rather shapeless, I thought the below-the-knee cocktail dresses would be perfect for daytime appearances and photo calls, and I think Taylor Swift would look so chic in so many of the creations — they are so consistent with her feminine sense of style!
