Robert Pattinson Didn’t Hear Kristen Stewart Joke, MTV Mad At Kevin Hart

Kevin opened the VMAs by addressing the ‘elephant in the room’ — Kristen’s affair! Luckily for Rob, he wasn’t in the building at the time and didn’t hear it! Kevin was not so lucky — MTV was left a little upset by Kevin’s remarks about Kristen, an MTV source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY!

Kevin Hart didn’t holding anything back while he hosted the Sept. 6 MTV Video Music Awards! The funny guy opened up the star-studded event by saying he was going to talk about people making mistakes, and clearly he was referring to Kristen Stewart. But opening up the show by addressing the “elephant in the room” left MTV a bit unhappy.

MTV sources told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “MTV producers were at first mad that [Kevin] brought up Kristen Stewart and the incident, but it wasn’t a major issue with them because he didn’t harp on it and make it his material for the entire night. They were OK with things mostly because Kristen wasn’t there and the ‘Twilight’ gang hadn’t fully shown up by the time he mentioned things.”

Could you imagine if Robert Pattinson was there during the joke? That would have definitely been a bit awkward!

“Rob was oblivious to the situation and he didn’t even hear the joke at the time it was said, so it didn’t have an effect on him when he came out later in the telecast. He was in bright spirits for the limited time he was at the show and backstage,” our source adds.

When Rob did arrive, him and the cast of Breaking Dawn — Part 2 introduced the official, final trailer!

its hilarious when people r calling Rob names just becoz he is not taking her back ….

Kevin didnt really defend her he was just saying to ppl to move on because this news is getting old and he was making fun of the scandal like when he said about the dwarvs one thing hes right everybody makes mistakes and nobodys perfect but it dosent make it right what she did.

Well HWL I think your poll needs to be sent to MTV. I bet they will sing praises for Kevin when they see the numbers.Looks like more than half the people watching the VMAs and the VMA audience approved of what Kevin did. Wish Rob had been there to hear it. It is sad that another man had to speak up for her to stop the bashing and burning Rob’s fans and the media like you have been doing to her to keep this in the head lines. This should have been said a long time ago by Summit since they created the issue with the fans idolizing and rabid obsession with Edward and Bella on to the actors who play the parts.

I find it amusing the Kevin Hart had to do what Rob didn’t have the GONADS to do: Defend a damsel in distress. Kevin good for you. I’m not familiar too much with your work…but I like you as a person already.

@Haley.Gentleman you say, Haley?????? A Gentleman would not have let his fans like you do this to the one he loved or any girl for a matter of fact. Do you even know what the definition of a gentleman is? Seems those that idolize Rob need to look it up before connecting it with his name. I know you want go to the trouble so I’ll do it for you and the other Robobsessed bullying fans. Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition of gentleman is : Belonging to a family of high social station: good manners: superior social status shown in manners and character; mode of life. This is what my dictionary has for gentleman. So let me disect it for you. A gentleman is someone of high social status but also a person with superior manners and character. If Rob’s manners and character are superior since you called him a gentleman then would a person with superior manners and character approve of fans who slander, trash, send death threats and vile comments to a girl who they do not know but he does? A person with high social manners and values would not allow another to be belittled like Rob has allowed his fans to do to Kristen so I think you need to rethink that connection of Rob with Gentleman because it is making you look naive and unintelligent. A gentleman stands up for those who are being bullied whether he knows them or not. You are being a bully towards Kristen with the rest of his fans but I don’t see Rob saying anything to stop the bullying like Kevin did. Maybe opportunist would go better in your sentence with Rob’s name for he is getting a lot of PR and movie roles by letting the bullying by his fans continue. Oh, and the definition of BULLY is: A person habitually cruel to others who are weaker: to behave as a bully towards one by browbeat, intimidate, and hector a person who is weaker. It´s high time these two got back together.They both miss each other terribly. I was there last night in the front by the mosh pit people and Kevin was hilarious and on the spot move on people, I love rob but when he came out from backstage he looked sad and dazed when camera wasn’t on him, didn’t seem to me like he wanted to be there ,can’t blame him. Look at the video from last night when they gave him the mic to talk and the camera got close up his eyes gave everything away! Maybe he is having a harder time moving on than we thought.

Dn, You heard wrong. Someone on another site tried to use that in a comment to dergade Kevin. Kristen’s PR person was Ruth. Kevin does not use Ruth like Katy Perry does. Kristen doesn’t either since she fired her PR person. Kevin did what Summit and others should have done to stop Rob’s fans from bullying Kristen and her fans. It is time someone tried to stop the bullying hatred towards Kristen. This show needs to be over.
