Kristen Stewart, when you bravely hit the red carpet yesterday, Sept. 6, for the Toronto International Film Festival, you took a major step in your Robert Pattinson heartbreak recovery. Here’s why.
Kristen Stewart — you CAN do it. You can get over Robert Pattinson. You must get over him, because you have to. You can’t force Rob to come back to you, that’s why it was so important that you pushed yourself to honor your professional commitment and fly to the Toronto International Film Festival for the North American premiere of On the Road.
It’s been six weeks since the photos that revealed your affair with Rupert Sanders went public. Since that time, you’ve been hiding out and crying your eyes out. You’ve barely been seen in public.
You’ve also been despondent, sources have told us. You’ve been desperately trying to communicate with Rob to explain yourself and to beg for forgiveness.
You’ve been missing Rob so much you’ve worn his clothes every time you’ve been seen in public, at least until you hit this new red carpet. You’ve even been sleeping with a teddy bear that Rob gave to you, according to Radaronline.
That’s all very understandable. You’re incredibly guilty for hurting the person you love the most and for blowing up your relationship. Plus, you are just plain still in love with Rob.
BUT since it is six weeks and Rob isn’t ready to forgive you or see you and may never want to be involved romantically with you again, you have to start living again. You can’t keep hiding out, with your life in a state of suspended animation.
The fact that you had to get out of bed, get dressed and go to your premiere was a blessing.
KRISTEN STEWART HAD TO RIP OFF HER ROBERT PATTINSON HEARTBREAK BANDAID
Kristen — you just ripped the Robert Pattinson Band-Aid off!
You did it with fabulous style in a gorgeous, classy, figure hugging Zuhair Murad dress.
You could not have picked a better look to wear for your first public appearance — it had style and sophistication.
While you looked skinnier than ever — you definitely need to start eating again — you still looked beautiful. That in itself must have made you feel a little better. You proved you could pull yourself together.
You also proved you could pull yourself together enough to greet fans, sign autographs and do media interviews.
I bet you were surprised in two ways.
HOW YOUR FANS SURPRISED YOU
#1, your fans were still there for you. They cheered you on — there were no boos. So you can now get over that fear. And #2, you did just fine handling media questions at the premiere.
I bet when you were dreading having to appear at the premiere, that you doubled your ability to carry off this appearance.
Well Kristen, you just proved that you are stronger than you thought — you did it. And that was your first major step in moving on from Rob.
Now, you have to keep going. You’ve gone public so when you go back to LA, keep living your life as publicly as you want. No more hiding out.
Go to business meetings, meet friends for lunch, dinner, the movies — whatever. Start hitting the gym again, carry on.
Life may still feel empty comparatively without Rob in it, but it will gradually start to feel more normal, especially if there is something you can throw yourself into.
If you have time before your Breaking Dawn: Part 2 promos start, why not get involved in helping with a cause that’s bigger than you and which will take your mind off you? Help with Haiti, campaign for your favorite presidential candidate, or adopt a new puppy and volunteer at an animal shelter. Do something.
All these things will keep you moving on from Rob. You must do that.
Maybe he will realize in time that he is open to working things out with you — that can happen — but you can’t count on it.
You have to make a life for you.
In the meantime, take a minute to pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for doing a terrific job in Toronto! You just took the most important step imaginable right now — you returned to the land of the living — congrats!
Do you agree, Hollywoodlifers? Tell me now.
