Taylor got the best revenge when she sang her new single during the closing 2012 MTV Video Music Awards performance — and gave a subtle shout out to Connor Kennedy! What did you think?

Taylor Swift took a major jab at one of her exes during her VMA performance, where she played her new single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” T-Swift rocked her signature red bold lip and a red nautical-themed top. She even threw on black wayfarers with her backup dancers, and the set included some leafy designs — an ode to her summer on the Kennedy compound?

If the lyrics weren’t enough of an insult to former boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, she threw it in his face how happy she is with her new boyfriend Connor Kennedy!

But one of her exesTaylor Lautner, smiled and clapped as he watched the performance. He’s been put through the Taylor Swift lyrical ringer before, but was luckily the subject of one of her sweeter songs.

What did YOU think of her performance?
