The battle to get Chris Brown to the VMAs continues! While E! News is reporting that he is attending and that he will be sitting in the crowd near both Rihanna and Drake, his rep has not confirmed his appearance.
Our EXCLUSIVE sources tell us that Rihanna really wants Chris to go and he wants to go as well — but some people are trying to stop him from attending.
“He keeps telling us that he wants to go. We [his friends] keep pushing him to hit up the awards because we want him to go there, have fun, kick it with his homies in the game and have a good time. There’s nothing wrong with that,” a friend of Chris tells us EXCLUSIVELY.
It may be awkward since Rihanna recently admitted she loves Chris to Oprah, but he’s dating Karrueche Tran.
“He know Rihanna will be there. She texted him on [Sept. 4] and told him ‘do what you want to and get ya a** there — I want to see you.’ He was hyped and was like, ‘man f**k that, I’m going.’ That’s what he said and we were all behind him but that was a few days ago so I guess we’ll see what time it is and if he is really gonna go.”
“VMAs want him at the show and they sent him an invite and called his people to go so he is invited and on the list.”
Rihanna really wants to see him tonight and has even been hinting on twitter she wants to do a performance with him!
We reached out to Chris Brown’s rep but it has not been officially confirmed he will attend.
