We’re sad to say ‘goodbye’ to summer, but we’re psyched to say ‘welcome back’ to our favorite shows (and guilty pleasures!)
If you’re a regular HollywoodLife.com reader, you know we have a flair for the dramatic; and that extends to our favorite TV shows! So we put together a guide of the 17 shows we’re most excited to have back this fall — from Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries to Glee and The X Factor – to help you get your DVR, and your emotions, in check.
All right, here’s our list:
90210 (Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. on The CW)
Why we’re excited: Is Dixon (Tristan Wilds) alive? Can Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Teddy (Trevor Donovan) really make a baby? We’ve never had so many burning questions!
American Horror Story: Asylum (Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. on FX)
Why we’re excited: We loved the first season of FX’s terrifying thriller, and with Jessica Lange at the forefront of season two, we can only imagine how many hours of sleep we’ll lose over Asylum.
Dancing with the Stars (Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC)
Why we’re excited: Some of our favorite celebs — especially Miz Pamela Anderson — are competing for their second shot at the Mirrorball Trophy, and it’s going to get ugly!
Degrassi (October on TeenNick)
Why we’re excited: We were obsessed with “The Showdown” all summer, and if there’s one thing you can always count on at Degrassi, it’s more drama!
Glee (Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. on FOX)
Why we’re excited: We’re not normally fans of stunt casting, but we love Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker, so we’re definitely going to be glued to Glee this fall.
Gossip Girl (Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. on The CW)
Why we’re excited: Chuck Bass himself, Ed Westwick, told HollywoodLife.com there’s “hope” for Chuck and Blair (Leighton Meester) in the final season.
Grey’s Anatomy (Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC)
Why we’re excited: We’ll be sad to see McSteamy (Eric Dane) go … but we’ll love to watch him leave! (Yes, that was a butt joke. We’re mature.)
Jersey Shore (Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. on MTV)
Why we’re excited: How will it all end? We’re not ready to say goodbye to our favorite guidos, but we’re sure they’ll go out in style!
New Girl (Sept. 25 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX)
Why we’re excited: We’re suckers for Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and all things “adorkable,” so we’re dying to see what not-so-new girl Jess (Zooey Deschanel) has in store for us this season.
The Office & 30 Rock (Sept. 20 & Oct. 4 on NBC)
Why we’re excited: We won’t be missing a second of The Office and 30 Rock‘s final seasons this fall. (And Steve Carell, we’d better be seeing you at some point!)
Once Upon A Time (Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. on ABC)
Why we’re excited: Now that magic has returned to Storybrooke, the stage is set for an epic battle between good and evil. Regina (Lana Parrilla) had better watch her back!
Pretty Little Liars (Halloween special airs Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family)
Why we’re excited: Now that Toby (Keegan Allen) has been revealed as “A,” we’re counting down the seconds until the show’s Halloween special this fall. All aboard the “A” train!
Revenge (Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. on ABC)
Why we’re excited: The Hamptons are going to be more intense than ever with the arrival of Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) mom this fall. Bring it, Revenge!
The Vampire Diaries (Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. on The CW)
Why we’re excited: We’re dying to see how Elena (Nina Dobrev) becoming a vampire will affect her love triangle with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley)!
The Voice (Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. on NBC)
Why we’re excited: We don’t know which aspect of The Voice we’re more excited for: The on-stage performances, or the backstage drama! (In both categories, we expect Christina Aguilera won’t disappoint.)
The X Factor (Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. on FOX)
Why we’re excited: Britney Spears AND Demi Lovato in our living rooms twice a week? For an entire season? We feel like we’ve died and gone to reality TV heaven!
