‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ attracts nearly 3 million viewers each week, but the rowdy family reportedly makes a shockingly small amount from the series! Find out how much they earn.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson became a Toddlers & Tiaras standout with the catchphrase, “a dolla makes me holla, honey boo boo!” — and even earned her family their own spinoff reality show. But it seems the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo clan doesn’t have much to holler about thanks to the execs at TLC.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the entire family only made $40,000 for the first season, which is shockingly low for a reality television show, especially with 10 episodes.
Sources say the family only gets paid a mere $2,000 – $4,000 per episode — a huge investment for show that reaches nearly 3 million viewers each week.
However, mama June Shannon spoke to TMZ, claiming the reports are false and that her family makes “a good deal more,” but wouldn’t specify how much.
“We’re making memories to last a lifetime,” she said.
Either way, $40,000 can buy a lot of cheese balls. And if the series gets picked up for more seasons, that equals a major salary bump!
Do YOU think $40,000 is enough HollyMoms?
