Both Conor and Taylor are so disappointed that his school turned down his request to miss a couple of days to be his girlfriend’s date to the 2012 MTV VMAs, Hollywoodlife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY.
Taylor Swift‘s romance with her boyfriend Conor Kennedy has been heating up, so of course he’s the only man she wants on her arm at the 2012 MTV VMAs! Unfortunately, Conor will not be able to accompany Tay to the Los Angeles awards show because of his prior school commitments.
“He will now not be able to attend the VMAs. He is very disappointed because he was amped to go, but he has certain school commitments to take care of,” a source tells Hollywoodlife.com. “He asked for permission to leave school but they didn’t give him the time off, especially since it wasn’t a family emergency.”
Just because Conor won’t be there in person with his girlfriend, he still plans to support Taylor — from his couch.
“He has plans to definitely watch the show with all his friends in Massachusetts,” the source reveals.
According to the source, Taylor is hoping to be able to meet up with Conor in Cape Cod over the weekend to make up for missing the awards show together.
Gossip Cop recently suggested that Conor wouldn’t be able to attend the awards show — much to Conor’s dismay — that is the case.

Maybe someone should send Connor a copy of the lyrics to her songs, so he can learn more about all the guys that dumped her… I think it’s time his father should set him down and explain how important it is to finish his schooling and college before becoming the posession of Taylor Swift… I thinki she is just wanting the name of Kennedy to prove she could hold on to someone and not be dumped again… JUST SAYING…..
