After the news broke last Friday that Kristen’s parents were getting a divorce and had been estranged for two years, it caused many to ask if her parents’ marital woes somehow contributed to Kristen’s cheating scandal. Dr. Phil Dembo says this may explain why Kristen decided to cheat on Rob with her director Rupert Sanders.

Dr. Phil Dembo tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Well, Rob must have been an insider to Kristen’s feelings and reactions to her parents split up. Of all people, he must know the instability she was feeling. But that is not a green light to taking her back. If he loves/loved her at all, he would put his pride aside and at least be her friend. Help her get help! Let her find a way to heal and learn to develop stability, trust, and her commitment with and for herself so that when the painful circumstances of life unfold for her again (and it certainly will), she will feel solid enough inside to cope without destructive behavior.”

“Now, when that healing has taken place, yes, Rob Pattinson, that woman you can take back and make a life with,” Dr. Phil Dembo said.

because mommy can’t make him happy he new steward was not brit. an he still lusted after her an then feel in love with her knowing better so long as they have there way they are fine to hell with him knowing how mommy felt about it so why now throw her away he throw her to the lion after all this time just to make mommy feel better but what about his feeling what about his heart it never get better i known he will never be happy again he all ready walking around like a dead man that big deep hole in him will never go away i feel sorry for him because of listening to other people no one really care about his feeling an that not right as long as his life has gone to hell that is fine but the love he has for steward will never go away

Stop it. You sound delusional and angry at your own situation. He probably does still listen to his mommy. His family is very supportive of him, unlike some other people’s families. And why wouldn’t he take his mother’s advice? You don’t know if he will always love Kristen, because you don’t have any confirmation that he ever loved Kristen in the first place. He never even claimed her as his girlfriend. And just because your love life has been a disappointment doesn’t mean everyone else’s is going to be the same.

I have my doubts about Rob…He seems to have a self-righteous attitude..I didn’t think that at first….but if he is such a “Gentleman” then be big enough to forgive, and talk it over….to just sit around and act hurt is starting to bug me, and many other people….Get over it..either take her back…or let her go dude….

Maybe in time Robert and Kristen could be friends but to expect that now with emotions this raw is very naive. I must say I’ve never heard of people suggesting that the person who was betrayed should put their feelings aside and stand by the person who majorly hurt them. Debbie, as someone who has counseled battered women, I am not sure I feel comfortable with your injecting what is clearly a violent intolerable act into what is being discussed. Having read all the post on this site, I don;t recall anyone being so sarcastic. For those who think that R/K should be open to continue their relationship, I think, they are merely suggesting perhaps they should consider savaging what they can of their investment. Pattinson is not suitable for Kristen – now it’s perfectly clear.
I wondered why he was so strange behavior. Is now clear.
He himself needs mommy to look after him. More precisely – two moms. He’s still a little 13-year-old self-centered, narcissistic, and moody teenager. He needs a woman older than his age. To replace his mother and sisters. And it is very difficult. Especially for Kristen.
So – no. There will not be any reunion. No this is no reason.

Oleg…I think you’re correct. Calling Rob a “13-year-old self-centered, narcissistic, and moody teenager” may be a tad brusque. But, okay. Now, Kristen has issues of her own. I’ll refrain from playing arm-chair psychiatrist. But, they do look good together. Plus, Kristen, for whatever reason, strikes at my heart strings. My reaction is to want to hover over her and protect her. And, many feel the same about Rob. What can I say? I guess we’re sick that way.

My God this goes on and on. Since she could not get anywhere with the “Director made me do it” now she is blaming it on her mother’s divorce. Next time she will be blaming Rob. If she is sick go get therapy. She is trying to get Rob to feel sorry and take her back. Big mistake. Taking them back because you feel sorry for them will work in the beginnig but is not a foundation on which to base a long time relationship and eventually it will fall apart. Don’t do it Rob. Go on with your life, work on your career. I am a little older than you, so I can give you advise to you as a son. The dream of you and Kristen to go back together stems from Bella and Edward, a fantasy. But, I do think you should make a statement like, “Kristen and I have spoken, we are friends, she understands where I am at and just leave it at that, I will not answer any questions on this matter”.

Califgirl7, you have so much to learn. Your post suggest to me that you either have not lived very long or have lived a very sheltered life. Maybe both. That is not a bad thing, but be careful how you judge others without the experience to support your judgement or advice. First, it is easy to attack Kristen for some wrong that you feel she committed, especially when you feel part of a group (Rob’s fans) But, It really says alot about (you), who you are, when you attack another women. As for Kristen and Rob’s relationship you are basing your advice on what, tabloid generated stories. You can, but you shouldn’t. They have invested a lot in their relationship, they shouldn’t walk away from it without trying to savage what they can. That may seem odd to you. But people do forgive each other and move forward. To just walk away no one wins.
