Though John & Katy recently split, the two were spotted getting cozy at a concert this weekend — and a new report claims drunk texting is to thank for their reunion!
John Mayer and Katy Perry just can’t seem to quit each other. Though the odd couple reportedly broke up last week, an eyewitness snapped a picture of them together Sept. 1 at the FYF musical festival in Los Angeles — and they looked very happy to be together. One source even told E! News that John had his arms around Katy while they took in all the sights and sounds.
So what caused John and Katy to get back together? Drunk texting… allegedly.
A source tells the New York Daily News that Katy has been “calling and drunk-texting him … late at night asking him to take her back” ever since they split, adding that “she’s been really depressed and needs attention.”

I think they’ve been in love since 2009 when they met and were hot and heavy then. I remember hearing an interview in new Zealand in 2009 where Katy said publicly she’d like to “shag the the s**t out of John Mayer.” And I think his song “Something Like Olivia” might be about Katy cuz she was “taken” at the time and he was pining for her. I don’t think they broke up recently. They look pretty comfortable together and it’s probably been going on for a long time but they’re keeping it under wraps. I think what will make or break it is John now has a home (it even has a nursery in it) and he’s ready to settle down. He’s been living a quiet life and only came out to Hollywood to get his operation, be near his doctors for a while and go back home to heal and play guitar. If Katy’s not ready to settle down, then I’m guessing they probably won’t be able to go forward. This is just what I pieced together from their interviews.
