Robert Pattinson: Life Is ‘Absurd’ After Kristen Stewart’s Affair

Rob describes his life as ‘kind of ridiculous’ in a new interview.

Kristen Stewart may have ripped out Robert Pattinson‘s heart when she cheated on him with married director Rupert Sanders — but at least Rob is keeping a good attitude about it! “At times, I find the whole thing pretty funny,” Rob says in a newly released interview with The Columbus Dispatch. ”It is pretty funny. My life is kind of ridiculous to me. It’s so absurd at times.”

“Absurd?” We won’t disagree with that.

Rob and Kristen have lived out their entire fairytale romance in the tabloids, from their first meeting on the set of Twilight to the leaked photos of Kristen cheating with SWATH director Rupert.

And Rob has previously said he reads every bit of it!

No, she exited her relationship with Michael several months before hooking up with Robert. True she fell for Robert but at 17 or hell even at 22 you’re still figuring who you are. I’m 60 and believe me love if never simple…if it’s meant to be they will find a way…if not they have their whole life still ahead of them. Let them live it.

I wish these two would get back together,they obviously still love each other or care about the other. I don’t understand why Kristen did what she did with a great guy like Rob at home if he is as great as we all think.She looked really good tonight even though she is quite a bit thinner.Rob on the other appears to have bags under his eyes and looks older.This has all taken a toll on both them.come on lets get this setteled.Sit down and talk it out.Sit across from each other and look eye to eye and get your feelings out.If it over it’s over.If you feel you can give it another shot.Yea!!Good luck.

I have been following this pair curiously, wishing for them the best but not suprised, when this happened. They both have been so young and they live quite strange life, I hardly can even imagine what it is like. And even at this horrible situation they both have their public careers to consider, this is not only a matter of a heart. Are they able to do, what they really want and do they know what they want? Still, they both are the best experts to analyze, is their relationship worth to save and can they handle the pain of remembering this thing and is it possible to trust each other again. Some professional help is needed in this. I think the cheating part has to find why she really did cheat the other one. What did it give to her and can she find a better way to achieve this feeling or fullfill her needs. She must try to be better person next time and forgive herself this behaviour quite soon. Life is too short to waste in any way.

Like Irina, my husband and me are absolutely incompatible in all, he cheating on me too, and I gave him a 2nd chance and all work fine until now. That was about 22 years ago, and we have 31 of happy marriage…….

My gut is telling me he will take her back and they will work it out. I don’t think he was using her. After all, she offered to sacrifice her career for him and get counseling. Not sure what he has agreed to sacrifice but the counseling will do them both good. I wish them all the luck.

I have read astrology reports stating that they are not compatible and that it’s definitely over for them. Disagree. I have known couples who had great charts that ended up divorced anyway. Astrology is only a guide…it’s our choices that define our destiny not the stars. If we make a bad choice, we can refocus and take another step in a different direction. This is the blessing of having “free will.”

In life we can have only one real love all others will be just a poor copies.
It is very important to see your love and to not loose it. If Robert and Kristen desten to each other they will find the way to figure it out.

A “special connection” that they had may only come along in one lifetime. Like he said in another article, she does something to him that no one else has ever accomplished. I guess he meant on all levels…and he is willing to throw it all away? I don’t get that. Some people never experience a special connection in their lifetime. If he is willing to throw it away when she wants to work it out, then there is a good possibility that he may regret it when she is with someone else. Just sayin it’s best to deal with situations as they happen and not procrastinate. They both might be in a different emotional space by next year but the relationship would be still unfinished. Then again, with a “special connection,” it is always there. They can pick up where they left off, even from a different emotional space, if one doesn’t shut the other out.

Yes Tracy123 I totally agree with you and I said this in an earlier post. If Rob doesn’t take the high road and forgive Kristen, then Rupert wins hands down and he will only realize this once he sees him face to face when he throws it in Rob’s face.

Maybe Rob doesn’t want to see her because he KNOWS he will feel that instant connection once again, want to forgive her, and work it out.

Take the high road…forgive her…get counseling with her like she suggested, find out if there are reasons why she caved besides her being vulnerable and in the process, you will most likely learn something about yourself too. You will always wonder what could have been if you don’t make this choice and face it. True love never dies, no matter what is thrown at it!

No good moving on until youve had proper closure in this situation and until they have actually met and talked this through that can’t happen.If th chemistry is still there go for it if not take the break and move on.By the looks of both of them they are both really struggling to keep their emotions in hand forget media paps and fans and do what’s best for you both to be happy with no regrets.

Rob is egoless as his co stars hv said many times ….He is a very large hearted person …he is the first one to hand over his credit card when people go out in groups .

he is doing what he is doing as self preservation ..he was hurt very badly .and very publically….he does not want to get his heart torn out again….so what Rob is doing is a very normal thing .we all distance ourselves from people and situations that r bound to hurt us ! more over she does not love him …her actions send a mssg loud and clear .

Maybe the director didn’t make it easy for her and she felt vulnerable and then caved. We were not there in the beginning. How do we know she does not love him? Look at Liz Taylor and Richard Burton. No matter what crap they went through, they loved each other until the day they died.

Maybe she does love him but she sabotaged it because she felt she never deserved it. Just sayin, it’s one option. Only they know the truth now. We can only speculate as spectators which sometimes can be a waste of time. If it is meant to be, they will learn from it and either move on graciously or get back together somewhere down the road when they’ve had time to digest the fiasco.

You know the saying, ”Whatever doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” They can take their relationship – or what’s left of it – to the next level. I read Kristen agreed to couples counseling which is a great sign. If the other half doesn’t want the counseling, then one partner doesn’t really care about the other partner or the relationship. It’s definitely a time to reinvent the relationship but both partners have to be receptive to it. I think Kristen was definitely taken advantage of but that’s not being talked about a whole lot.

As an aside, I read that this time in history, we have the opportunity to clear away the negative karma from past lives. Dump it and then cleanse it away because it is not worth holding on to. However, if Rob doesn’t want to be part of the cleansing and reinventing of this soul bond, then I fear he will lose out on learning something about himself too. I wish them the best during this time of incredible revelation and healing. Kristen turning to Gandhi was an interesting move. He was one of the greatest spiritual figures of our time. At least he practiced what he preached! My prayers are with you Rob and Kristen and that you both find love at the core to forgive. Peace to you both. GCV
