A man in his 20s has killed himself after opening fire in a New Jersey Pathmark supermarket around 4am on Aug. 31 — read on for the devastating details.
A shocking shootout inside a Pathmark supermarket left three people dead, including an 18-year-old girl. The shooting took place in Old Bridge, NJ., on Aug. 31 and according to a new report, there’s no information as to why the alleged gunman started shooting, but he did turn the gun on himself.
The alleged shooter reportedly was a former employee of the supermarket and he walked in around 4am with a shotgun. He reportedly opened fire on the staff who were stocking the store.
The store was closed at the time and when police arrived, two front windows at the store were broken. Police took employees to a nearby TGI Friday’s to stay away from the shooting scene. The Pathmark is about 20 miles away from NYC, and just last week a disgruntled employee shot his boss and then killed himself near the Empire State Building.
This is so, so sad. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims.
