News that Jules Stewart, Kristen’s mom, has filed for divorce from husband John Stewart was a ‘long time coming,’ a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Read on for the inside scoop.

Kristen Stewart‘s mother, Jules Stewart, has filed for divorce from husband of 27 years John Stewart, citing irreconcilable differences. A source tells us that this news comes as no surprise.

A source close to John tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that they are “not surprised with the news as [the two] were never seen together.” Our source tells us they feel bad for John because they know “he is a really nice and down to earth guy.”

With Jules’ divorce documents, filed in L.A. County Superior Court on Aug. 17, also revealing that the couple has been separated since June 15, 2010, our source agrees that this should have been expected. “This has been a long time coming, and [John] is dealing with it smoothly and he wants to make sure that Kristen isn’t affected by it. That is what is important to him.”

I’m another guest, you would be amazed at the number of men who let a cheating wife file citing irreconcilable differences. It’s usually a combination of pride and lingering love for the soon to be ex, just keeping it neat and tidy to avoid amessy divorce. I have worked in law offices, believe me, it happens frequently. Since Kristens mom is now living with the man she allegedly cheated on her husband with, I’d say there is at least a grain of truth to these stories.

Why should her forgive her now? He is suppose to just forget everything that has happened because her mother and father are divorcing. They have not been together for years. Now that i think about have you guys notice that kristen parents were never seen together like last year when they did the handprint ceremony her dad was there only and not her mom or when they were in cannes this year her mom went and her husband didnt so they were never seen together and a month ago with what happen with kristen cheated on rob i read in the internet i dont know if this is true but i read that jules and her husband seperated because she cheated on him with a married man i dont know if this is true but do guys think is true.I do bealive that this wasnt a surprise fir her because her parents been seperated sense june 2010 i think she already knew this was going to happen only now they did it officially by filing a divorce but i think is still hurts but i think she was alreadr ready for it.

What’s surprising here is not that they are getting a divorce, but that they have been separated for over two years and waited until the midst of the scandal brewing with their daughter to file for divorce. Why now? I know if I had a child going through something like this I wouldn’t want to add any more gossip to the pot. They are adults and can do what they want but this timing all seems…really strange.

I think she had it ready to file and when TMZ found out and was gonna report it she had no choice but to do it. Again a scummy site like Us weekly which I will never pick up again overblowing things and making this more than it is to sell themselves and ruin people’s lives. They egg the haters on with any little info so they post vile comments which make their day complete! People magazine would not have made this the mess it is like Us weekly did and really I blame them for ruining 4 lives and not letting them handle this with peace and privacy instead of ongoing drama and hate
