A pageant mom might have gone too far when she encouraged her four-year-old daughter to use a lit cigarette as a prop on stage! Watch the shocking video!
Toddlers and tiaras and… cigarettes? One mom thought it would be a clever idea to giver her four-year-old daughter Destiny a cigarette to use as a prop with her costume during an episode of Toddlers & Tiaras.
The contestant was dressed as Sandy from Grease, and her mom Lisa wanted her to channel the good-girl-turned-bad character to the extreme.
Even though the prop was a fake, Destiny used it as realistically possible, even inhaling as she would a tobacco piece. “Don’t forget to smoke,” her mom encouraged from the sidelines.
Parents were rightly outraged, and the judges were even taken aback by the inappropriate prop.
“You know Sandy was a good girl, she didn’t smoke either but she used it for image,” Lisa said.
“Destiny has a cigarette – what is she thinking?” one of the judges asked.
Although she was deducted points for using an “inappropriate prop,” Destiny still won Personality Supreme.
