‘Jersey Shore’ will end after six ‘epic seasons’ on MTV, the network announced on Thursday Aug. 30. Read on for all the details.
The final season of Jersey Shore will premiere on Oct. 4 — bringing the series to a close after three years and six seasons.
MTV announced on Thursday Aug. 30 that the network will bring their most popular series to a close after the final season airs this fall.
MTV will commemorate the series with a one-hour retrospective, ”Gym, Tan, Look Back,” set to air on Sept. 6 at 6 P.M. ET — leading up to the MTV Video Music Awards. The special will recap the most memorable moments from Jersey Shore and will also feature interviews with the cast, giving fans their first sneak peek at the upcoming final season.
A source close to production told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “they have had a great run and have all become pop culture icons. Everyone will continue to be successful with their own spinoffs and various projects. You haven’t seen the last of some of the cast.”
Surviving the series are two spin-offs, The Pauly D Project and Snooki & JWOWW — which was picked up for a second season.
