Katy Perry‘s romance with John Mayer didn’t last long: their short fling was not even able to outlast the summer. Even so, the brief relationship — and the manner in which it was ended — reportedly left Katy heartbroken!

Katy, 27, and John, 34, looked overly cozy on August 4 when they were caught publicly making out at a Hollywood Hills party. So what happened? According to an Us Weekly source, John Mayer quickly grew “tired of Perry’s hard partying and decided to pull the plug.”

Adding more insult to injury, a friend tells the magazine that “he dumped her over email. She was furious and really hurt. She was into him, but he wasn’t feeling it.”

Poor Katy- after Russell Brand blindsiding her with a divorce , this was the last thing she needed. HollywoodLifers, do YOU think John dumping Katy over email was too harsh?

Poor katy feel bad for her!!!

She wasn’t nor did she date that pig…he is hideous looking especially with that faux Russell brand hair….they are friends and fwb after a night of partying but NOT anything more….seriously HL you are mostly right on target but sometimes you just downright lie! Lol

John Mayer was never with Katy Perry to dump her.

I have inside sources and they told me that whole relationship was a publicity stunt to promote his album. That why it didn’t last long nor did you ever see them have real affection towards one another. It was a friend doing another friend a favor.

Katy is a slut she puts out it is her own fault. John is a scumbag and EVERYONE knows it she was stupid to start to hang out with him to start with. Look at her taste in men she needs to keep her legs shut and get tested for STD. And yes Katy likes to party and she also enjoys the power stuff her crowd is not the type of people you want to hang with. She need. John got what he wanted from Katy now he is on to the next dumd girl Katy is pretty and can sing but she has never been a smart girl pretty but dumb.
