Jamie tells HollywoodLife.com he could never play the game, himself — but will he rap on it?
Every episode of The CW’s new game show Oh Sit! is an hour of non-stop insanity — and that’s exactly how host Jamie Kennedy likes it. In fact, when HollywoodLife.com asked Jamie what drew him to the gig, he had a long list of reasons ready to go: “musical chairs, the band, hot contestants, girls and guys competing against each other. I just thought it was big and loud, like a Japanese game show. I’m all about making noise.” (And we’re all about it, too!)
Read on for my full interview with Jamie:
This is your first time hosting a game show. How has it been so far?
It’s a great group of people to work with. And we’re really getting our footing now, because we kind of created a new format. … We’re still slowly learning what it is. It’s Sports Center meets The Soup meets a game show.
I like to think of it as musical chairs on crack.
That’s exactly what it is: musical chairs on crack!
Did you play a lot of musical chairs growing up?
I wasn’t very good. I was more of a Pin the Tail on the Donkey kind of kid.
Would you ever consider joining the action on the show?
I’m going to have to say no and pass on that. The course I could get in shape for, but the water — it’s really freezing. It’s full of ice cubes, and it’s disorienting. People have thrown up.
Well, it’s not a true game show until someone pukes.
Exactly. The goal is to puke!
OK, well how about performing as one of the guest artists? I know you’re a rapper.
I don’t know if they want to see a 42-year-old rapper up there, but if they need me, I’ll spit a few bars.
(Make it happen, CW!)
New episodes of Oh Sit! air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW!
