What do you do if you get a zit before an event? — Rebecca in San Francisco, CA
If I get a blemish before an event, I wash my face with cleanser that contains salicylic acidand then pat dry with a clean towel. After this, I apply a medicated concealor to the pimple and then do my makeup as usual but I make my eyes more dramatic to draw attention away from my blemish. DO NOT POP!
How do you stay glamorous after a hot day in the city or the Hamptons? — Elle in Long Island, NY
On hot days, I take a cool shower in the morning and then again in the evening before I go out. I wear loose fitting clothing like caftans and sundresses that I pair with flats or sandals. To keep my face looking fresh, I use Shiseido blotting paper throughout the day and I keep my makeup to a minimum. AIR CONDITIONING!
Do you have a signature piece of jewelry? – Natalie in Providence, RD
I love necklaces made from natural materials like turquoise and semi-precious stones. My necklaces can transform a simple outfit and reflect my love nature and design. When I wear a statement necklace, I keep my other jewelry to a minimum. It’s either the big necklace or the big earrings, not both! GORGEOUS!

Can you do arms as well, with the ‘Airbrush Legs’? By the way, I think your the most down to earth ‘Housewife’ of Bravo. I do like to much of ya’lls show from CA, NY NJ and GA. So far that is what we recieve in OH. I did have hand surgery. I catch it a little more than I should. I am not weird. I just like reality TV. Ya’ll are a trip. I wonder how you can do it. Anyway, I am a city girl in a small town with kids. Sometimes I feel under scrutiny. I am from Houston,TX. But still feel weird here. Don’t feel bad for anything —right? I appreciate you and Sonja’s frankness. All I can do is be real. The others can feel theirs. Thank you. Martha
