Reese was taken into the hospital on Aug. 22 over complications from her pregnancy, and doctors want to keep her there to postpone the birth of her baby. Read on to find out all the details.
Reese Witherspoon was taken into the hospital on Aug. 22, and doctors have been keeping a watchful eye on the actress to make sure she doesn’t go into premature labor.
She has been in the hospital since the early morning on Aug. 22, and will plan on being there for a few nights, according to RadarOnline.com.
“Doctors have sedated Reese and they’re keen on keeping her from going into an early labor so the baby’s development will go to full term,” a source close to the situation told the site.
The Water for Elephants actress is expecting her third child, her first with husband Jim Toth. She also has daughter Ava, 12, and son Deacon, 8, both from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillipe.
“Reese’s husband Jim hasn’t left her side and he doesn’t plan to,” the source said, and added that he is extremely nervous since it’s his first child. Meanwhile, Reese is acting as the calming voice in the situation.
“Unless she goes into labor, Reese will remain in the hospital under the watchful eye of the doctors,” the source said.
We are wishing Reese and Jim the best, and hoping for a healthy delivery.
