Kristen admits she’s impacted by the roles she takes on. Could a past role have caused her to cheat on Robert Pattinson?
In Hollywood, celebrity status often leads to positions of power. But few stars actually use that power to do good in the world. Not Kristen Stewart. The spunky 22-year-old actress may be universally hated for cheating on her boyfriend of three years, Robert Pattinson, but she’s determined to use her star power to help those less fortunate.
“It’s weird to be in this position of, like…” Kristen sighs, before trailing off during an interview with British publication Little White Lies. “Not to sound f–king crazy, but ‘financial prowess.’ I feel bad about it. I feel like you need to do something.”
After playing a young woman with emotional issues in Welcome to the Rileys, Kristen says she felt inspired to help troubled individuals. “I want to open two halfway houses, one in New Orleans and one in LA, and I want to make a documentary about why it’s important,” she explained.
While many celebrities are quick to lend their name to a charity to boost their image, Kristen is only interested in attaching herself to a cause if she can actually have an impact. “All this ridiculously empty charity work that you see? Like, you show up at an event and you wear a dress and you auction your dress off and you suddenly feel important,” she says disapprovingly.
“I want to do it right,” she insists.”Right now, I just feel it. It’s not to be wasted. Because I know my value is f–king strong.”
