David Koepp was hired to write the sequel to ‘SWATH’ and now he’s speaking out about why he left the project — you’ll never believe what he said about K-Stew!
Kristen Stewart IS Snow White, at least that’s what writer David Koepp believes. David was hired by Universal to write the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman but in his first in-depth interview about the sequel scandal, he says that he backed out when he learned that Kristen’s sequel wasn’t the studio’s top priority!
“[I worked on a script] that I really liked [for Kristen],” he says. “And [Universal's] situation, I hear, changed a little, so they weren’t interested in pursuing that idea anymore. I felt like there was a good path with [Kristen], but then they wanted to explore a different thing that I had no ideas for. If you don’t have any ideas, you should probably put your pen in your backpack and go home.”
We told you that Universal was looking into making a Huntsman spinoff, instead of pursuing the SWATH sequel starring Kristen. But we also told you that Universal made it clear that they hadn’t made any decisions as of yet.
“We agreed to part ways and stay friends.”
But could David see a sequel without Kristen? Absolutely not!
“Well, I couldn’t,” he said. “That was why I felt like I couldn’t follow through.”
