Taylor held hands with boyfriend Conor during an emotional visit to the gravesite of his mother, Mary Richardson Kennedy.
After a romantic stroll along the coast of Cape Cod, Taylor Swift joined her boyfriend Conor Kennedy and his family at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery to visit the gravesite of Mary Richardson Kennedy. As the two honored Conor’s departed mom with nearly 15 other members of the Kennedy clan, Taylor held her boyfriend’s hand for the entire impromptu memorial service, reports the New York Daily News.
Following a group prayer, the family tidied up Mary’s gravesite, nestled near a trio of religious statues and two miniature American flags. As Taylor gazed at nearby graves of other famous Kennedys, her boyfriend of two months squatted to clear overgrown grass from his mother’s final resting place.
Mary was initially buried in May near the graves of Eunice and Sargent Shriver, but Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had his estranged wife’s body exhumed in early July and moved 700 feet to a plot on a lonely hilltop on the other end of the cemetery. Despite the emotional surroundings, the group shared a laugh when Conor’s younger brothers, William and Aiden, got into a playful wrestling match on the grassy lawn.
Even though Taylor and Conor have only been dating for a short time, the pair have spent nearly the entire summer together in Massachusetts. She even bought a $5 million beach house next to the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port!
Just last week, the lovebirds were spotted kissing on the dock following a swim in the Nantucket Sound. Taylor even joined Conor at his cousin Kyle Kennedy’s wedding on Saturday, where she met most of his extended relatives. Sounds like things are heating up!
Do YOU think it’s nice that Taylor accompanied Conor to his mother’s grave?
