It will reportedly cost ABC a hefty price to cast the Olympic cutie as the next ‘Bachelor’ — and HollywoodLife.com spoke to Ryan EXCLUSIVELY about the potential deal! Read on for more details!
Ryan Lochte‘s future might entail giving out roses rather than receiving gold medals! The sexy Olympic swimmer is reportedly being seriously considered to be the next Bachelor — but he wants close to $1 million to seal the deal.
“If they ask me then I will definitely think about it. But before I commit to it, I will ask my family and see what they think,” Ryan told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY at the be a STAR SummerSlam VIP Kickoff Party at the Beverly Hills Hotel on August 16th , adding that he doesn’t know if his mom would be on board with it!
But according to a new report, Ryan is asking for the big bucks to do the show.
“Ryan’s agents are getting besieged with offers and deals, everything from The Bachelor, his own reality show, and some overseas movies,” a source tells Radaronline.com.
Ryan will need at least $750,000 from ABC — or possibly even $1 million — to snag the deal, according to the report. That number is about $250,000 more than what ABC reportedly offered Roberto Martinez — who is also in the running. While nothing has been confirmed yet, that’s definitely a lot of money for The Bachelor. And while Ryan has been open about being interested in the franchise, a source says he does have his concerns.
“Ryan is acutely aware that he has to attach himself to the right projects and endorsements that won’t do damage to his all American image. As much as he’d like to do it, Ryan does have some reservations about The Bachelor because he wouldn’t have any control on how he is portrayed on the show,” a source says.
Hmm! What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Would YOU like to see Ryan be the next Bachelor? Or do you want Roberto or Sean Lowe? Vote and weigh in below!
