Summit 'Very Excited' By Robert Pattinson's 'Cosmopolis' Opening Weekend

Robert Pattinson‘s new film, Cosmopolis, opened in only three theaters on August 17, but managed to earn a weekend total of $72,327, quite a successful number. Summit execs who were worried about the box office of Breaking Dawn, Pt. 2 in the wake of Kristen Stewart‘s affair are now breathing a sigh of relief.

Sources at Summit spoke to HollywoodLife.com exclusively saying that they are very excited that Rob’s movie did well this weekend as they believe “it means even more that all his fans will still come out in droves for Twilight.” Our sources tells us that Summit is still sure that the scandal will affect how they will promote the film with Rob, 26, and Kristen, 22, together, “but what any negative light fans may have with Kristen will be overridden by the fans desire to complete the series and their love for all things Rob.”

“For the box office clout Kristen may have lost, Rob has picked up more,” our sources tell us. “So it is believed to have evened itself out.”

This is so stupid,summit is going to the bank laughing all the way,sickos like some of you are obsessed with bashing kristen and although you love rob,who doesnt by the way, he totally rocks with the jaw porn and sex hair,you will go see it even more than before because of the scandel and ratings for the promo will go through the roof,thats just the sick reality of the situation. Never did I ever. Followed the twilight saga cause of Kristen, she is dull and boring. Robert Pattison did a great job as Edward and he is the reason why I fell in love with the Saga. Kristen you and your lover can go to hell.

How could anyone not live rob. Kstew who. Never liked any of her other movies. I liked rob in Harry potter too. And his newer movies.

I’m with you on this. I will go see Breaking Dawn part 2 but after that I’m done with both of them. You’re very right it’s just too hard to be fans of either of them anymore. I happen to think they staged this whole scandal for soe reason and I don’t care if it was for a good reason like a private wedding. They decided they didn’t care about hurting their fans as long as they got what they wanted. They brought all the paparazzi on themselves by being so darn private. I get the whole privacy thing but most celebrities share dating, wedding and baby news with their fans. We got nothing but riddles and half truths from them. If they want to put Twilight behind them so badly then maybe we should let them get beyond it without their fans too. Let them live in their own little bubble. I’m sorry but knowing they would do this to their fans makes me a little miffed. We made them what they are today. If fans around the world stopped going to the movies, stopped buying DVDs and CDs and stopped going to concerts the entertainment industry would dissapear overnight. We the fans are what make Hollywood. It hurts me alot to say what I’m saying because I am/was a big fan of both Rob and Kristen but I just can’t do it anymore. I will see how Edward and Bella’s story plays out but as for Rob and Kristen I have to painfully walk away. Enough is enough. Like Pink’s new song says “Blow me one last kiss.”

Huh?!! Another non-article…Summit did not say anything, I am sure. For one of the Twilight movies’ promotional turn (I think it was New Moon), Rob and Kristen did separate appearances; she even went to Australia with Taylor. It’s no big deal!
