Even Oprah was shocked when Rihanna revealed that she’s still in love with Chris Brown! Oprah asked the 24-year-old singer questions in a very emotional interview that the world has been wondering ever since their relationship ended when he violently attacked her in February 2009.
And while those questions brought Rihanna to tears — they nonetheless revealed the jaw-dropping truth!
“I still love him,” Rihanna told Oprah during their August 19th interview for Oprah’s Next Chapter.
But that doesn’t mean they’re back together.
“He’s in a relationship on his own. I’m single,” Rihanna told Oprah, adding that they still see each other and are “very close friends.”
“We’ve built a trust again and that’s it. We love each other and we probably always will,” Rihanna said.
Yikes! And any girl knows seeing an ex can be difficult — especially when there are lingering feelings involved. And for Rihanna; it’s no different. She told Oprah that she still gets nervous and flustered when she sees Chris!
“My stomach drops. I have to maintain this poker face and not let it get to the outer part of me,” she said.
But then Oprah asked Rihanna if she thinks Chris, 23, is her true love. And the answer left Oprah totally speechless– and RiRi in a pool of tears.
“Absolutely,” Rihanna said, with tears dripping down her cheeks. “I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love and I see that he loved me the same way. We were very young and very spontaneous. We ran free. We ran wild. We were falling in love going in at a really rapid pace and we forgot about ourselves as individuals.”
This was definitely the most honest — and emotional — we’ve ever seen Rihanna. It’s totally obvious that they’re still in love! Who knows, maybe a few years from now they’ll date again. We wouldn’t be surprised after watching this interview!

I love the way people are commenting as if they have any idea about these people lives! haha. In my opinion, i think it’s of very poor taste to profess your undying love for your ex in (who beat you up) in public especially since he’s already moved on. I feel bad for Chris Brown’s gf. Rihanna shouldn’t be making comments like “We love each other and we probably always will” in public because Chris Brown wasn’t there to verify that on his behalf. For all we know, he is probably more happier with his current gf than he ever was with Rihanna and this desperate chick could be causing problems for him. If he did love her as much as she loves him, he would be with her wouldnt he?
